I can recommend Twerski’s Vision of the Fathers.

+1 for Yahnatan’s “J-BOM” dub. Love it!
Even though I am not formally part of J-BOM bloggers, due to working 2 jobs at present, I will try to purchase and read at least some of the books, and additionally point some traffic to the J-BOM blogs each month during my weekly bracha posts.
This is a great idea, Derek. I hope many Messianic folks go out and purchase The JPS Commentary on the Haggadah. It will promote learning in the often-fundamentalist Messianic community, and it will increase the Messianic voice on the web.

Derek, I’m curious as to your recommendation for the book Faith Matters by, David Wolpe. I did not know of him until you mentioned the book and shortly after reading your blog I ran across a reference to him that states that he does not believe the Exodus from Egypt ever happened. I found an article on Aish that confirmed this. Why would we want to read a book by an author that has such a view? I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this! Aside from that, I’m most interested in this J-BOM project and hope to read right along with you!
this is a great idea! the promotions are good too.
